David Hunt CBE

 With over 30 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, David Hunt C.B.E has become a powerhouse in advocating for change. He has led global cross-functional teams in implementing major change programs that not only increased operational efficiency and reduced costs, but also had a positive impact on patients' lives worldwide. 

Before joining AstraZeneca in 2003, David worked at GSK and Medimmune. During his 20-year tenure at AstraZeneca, he held various senior Operations roles, ultimately becoming Vice President and Head of Global Vaccines & Immune Therapies Operations in 2021. 

Throughout his career, David has held successful positions in Engineering, Program & Project Management, Validation, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain Operations. 

David is a strong advocate for accelerating the delivery and availability of critical medicines for patients. He believes in improving operational efficiencies and managing change through lean ways of working and technology developments. 

In 2013, he received an MBA from the Open University, and in 2021 he was awarded a C.B.E in the Queen's Birthday Honours List for his outstanding contributions to UK Healthcare and the COVID-19 response.
